Description
The mala is made of 108 Black Agate gemstone beads + 1 guru bead. It is very carefully knotted by hand with a colour matching thread. Malas are also said to be Prayer beads and are used for counting the recited mantras. Many temples have 108 steps, and it is said that each person has 108 lives. And a mantra works after 108 repetitions.
Agate is known for its grounding & balancing properties and is believed to enhance mental focus. In particular, black agate is said to offer protection against physical harm originating from psychic threats and to strengthen courage.
